I checked my email this morning to have a $3 off of $15 purchase for CVS.
So I did 2 transactions at CVS, and here is the breakdown.
1st transaction:
4 packs of angel soft t.p.
used- $1/2 angel soft printable(only expected to get 2 and didn't print another one just incase)
And the $3 off of $15 from email
Total came to: $17.19
Savings was 17.56
And got back $5 in rewards
2nd transaction:
A reese's candy bar
2 boxes of kellogg's frosted flakes
2 beef jerky sticks (mike tagged along of course)
1 arizona drink (again mike. lol)
Used- $.74/1 candy bar coupon from the red machine
$1/2 kellogg's frosted flakes printable
And the $5 in rewards from previous transaction
Spent $1.48 and saved $13.94 for this transaction.
All together I spent only $18.67 and saved $31.50
That was a great CVS haul!
At food lion we did just as good.
I have mentioned in the past how I use the mycokerewards program since my dad loves his soda and we love our powerades. Well I requested a free powerade coupon, a free mango powerade coupon and a $3 off of a 12 pack coke product.
So today we got:
1-orange powerade
1-mango powerade
1-12 pack coke
1 thing of sliced cheese for $.99
1 thing of bologna for $.99
And some chicken thighs that were marked down for $5.94
Total for Food Lion was: $10.54 and we saved: $7.08
All together we did great today. I was able to buy a few simple things we needed for the house and some stuff for the stockpile. And even made Mike happy with his few goodies.
We also shared a coupon with a little girl at food lion who was getting capri suns. It made her day and ours.
As always happy couponing and I hope this breakdown shows you that couponing can be done without going extreme and breaking your piggy bank.
****NOTE*** We also received some more GREAT Catalina's from the foodlion today. We got a free bag of salad, and a BOGO coupon for Kraft dressing. Just last week we got Catalina's for BOGO Apples, free eggs, and free hotdog or hamburger buns. These Catalina's are being given out at the register till October.
