Some home remedy's for bugs

I don't know about you guys but I am hating the bugs and it is that time of year for them outside. So I have been on pinterest and trying out some remedies for myself so I got some feedback and will add pics later.

I tried 2 different ones so far and both have worked. However I went with the one that used less vinegar so I could make more containers and they are on my back porch and front porch. Even have one or two in my kitchen. To make this work your going to probably have to relocate dishes to find the bugs hot spot but believe me it does work.

So here are the remedies I tried:

Remedy 1:
2 cups hot water
3 drops of Dawn dish soap
3 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar
3 tablespoons of sugar

This one is my favorite!!! It used less vinegar.

Remedy 2: Also worked but really strong smell and took a lot of vinegar just for the one jar and sugar.
1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
1/2 cup of warm water
1/2 cup sugar
1 teaspoon salt

I will add pics later when I go outside to show you guys. I am still using my first 2 from 2 weeks ago when I started and added several of the 1st remedy since then as well.

I have caught flies, fruit flies, sugar ants, big carpenter ants, and some other weird flies and even a worm. So it does work. Just remember your gonna have to find a good spot to make it  work because at first it wouldn't work where I had them  placed.

First SD trip for June

I got to go yesterday with some of my girlfriends for an SD trip and I can honestly say it has been too long since Harris Teeter did one. You know these things when your stockpile is running low. So here is the breakdown on how I did. This haul wasn't one of my best because my boyfriend has been home a lot lately so I got stuff without coupons that were just on sale.

For things that I didn't have a coupon for:

Campbell's slow cooker sauces = on sale for $2/4
HT soda's = $.77 each
Breyers Ice Cream evic price for = $2.57 each

Now the freebies!!!

Tide detergent. Got the $5.99 one instead of the $1.99 because it was still free with a coupon +Evic
Weber seasonings FREE with $1/1 coupons
Baked delights dog treats $1.50/1 coupon plus $1.75 evic
Murachan bowls all free
Toothbrush free with $1/1 coupon and $1 evic

Out of pocket I spent: $22.69 and saved $62.36

Considering just the icecream and slow cooker sauces was almost $10 I am happy with my haul.
